About the race

The Kings Traverse Ultra is a point to point trail race held on April 24, 2027, organized by Dirty Wolf Racing and Mountaineer Rumble Events. The route runs from Crowders Mountain State Park in North Carolina to Kings Mountain State Park in South Carolina and covers approximately 31 miles (50K) along marked trail with ribbon and arrows.

Runners should be prepared for variable weather, including rain and fog, and adapt gear and pacing accordingly. Aid stations provide basic trail fuel such as pickles, cereal, pretzels, candy, fruit, and bacon, plus water, Tailwind, sodas, and first aid supplies. Trekking poles are permitted and bibs must be worn on the front and remain visible.

Participants must reach the finish within a 10 hour cutoff. Entry fees are non refundable if the event is canceled and entries will not roll over to the following year; deferment requests require contact with the race director. This is a private event so only registered participants are permitted on course. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
