About the race
The Inflatable 5K in Chelmsford takes place on Saturday 7 August 2027 at Hylands Park, 10 Meadgate Terrace, Chelmsford, Essex CM2 8FS. The course uses large inflatable obstacles arranged on a 2.5 km lap and offers multiple distance options so participants can choose how far to go.
Distances available:
- 2.5 km, 15 obstacles, 1 lap
- 5 km, 30 obstacles, 2 laps
- 10 km, 60 obstacles, 4 laps
- 15 km, 90 obstacles, 6 laps
The event includes finisher medals for all participants, a goodie bag, a post run drink, event photography, medical cover, marked route signage, music zones along the course and an on course water station. Spectators may watch from designated areas at no extra charge. Food and drink vendors will be on site and toilets are provided.
Entry categories and rules state adults are 16 and over, children are 5 to 15 and must be accompanied by a paying participating adult at a maximum ratio of three children to one adult. Parking is charged at £5 per car and bag drop is available for £3 per bag; larger items and loose valuables are not accepted. Dogs are not allowed on site.
