Hip Hip Hooray it's Hornsea

Its Grim Up North Running stages a seaside trail event in Hornsea, East Yorkshire (HU18 1PZ). The route is an out and back along the Trans Pennine Trail on generally flat, good-quality paths. The event offers several distance options and is licenced by the Trail Running Association under UKA rules.

Distances available include:

  • 10k
  • 10 miles
  • Half marathon
  • 20 miles
  • Marathon (2 x half marathon)

Feed and drink stations are provided approximately every three miles; the event operates as cupless so runners should bring a reusable cup or bottle. The course is marshalled and signed, though some road crossings may be unmanned. Toilets are available at the nearby Leisure Centre. Finishers receive a bespoke medal and a selection of treats.

Logistics notes: parking is available close to the venue though council charges may apply. Transfers and deferrals can be managed by entrants via the organiser up to one week before the event. Pre-race information is published by the organiser online and further details are held in the event FAQ and community channels. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
