Hip Hip Hooray it's Hornsea
Hip Hip Hooray it's Hornsea is a trail running event at Hornsea, East Yorkshire (HU18 1PZ). The course uses an out and back route on the Trans Pennine Trail and is generally flat with good trail surfaces.
Distances offered include:
- 10 km
- 10 mile
- 20 mile
- Half marathon
- Marathon (two half marathon laps)
Feed and drink stations are provided at approximately every three miles; the event operates a cupless policy so participants are asked to bring a reusable cup or bottle. The course is marshalled and there can be road crossings that are not marshalled. Toilets are available in the leisure centre near the event hub.
The races are licensed by the Trail Running Association under UKA rules. Facilities and finish provisions include a bespoke finisher medal and a selection of treats at the finish. Local parking is available nearby though council charges may apply and car sharing is suggested as an option for travel.
The organiser notes guidance on earphones: large over ear headphones are discouraged and, if earphones are needed, bone conduction or single ear pieces are preferred. Transfers and deferrals can be managed through the booking channels used at entry. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
