Galloping Grind 10k trail run : 04 April 2027
The event is the fifth edition of the Galloping Grind and marks the reopening of the course for the 2027 season. It is a 10 km trail run that follows the Spring course (GG2 route) and is run predominantly anti clockwise. A GPX and a Strava route are provided by the organiser.
Registrants will receive a start list by email before the event with race number details, maps and a course narrative. Race numbers must be worn on the front, unfolded. Manual timing may be used, so a visible number at the finish is required for a time to be recorded.
Parking onsite is limited and participants are asked to follow marshal instructions; car sharing or cycling to the venue are suggested alternatives. A tail jogger will sweep the course and a finish line timer will be in use.
After completing the run, runners may hand in their race number at the horsebox to claim hot chocolate, hot tea and cakes. Results will be posted to the organiser’s website within 48 hours. TRA permit number is to be confirmed. Non TRA or UKA members pay a £2 levi.
Prices noted by the organiser: £15 until 31 December 2026 and £17 until 28 March 2027. A service fee of 4 percent (minimum 50p) applies. Total places available are 30. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
