Felsted Frolic : Felsted, Essex
Felsted Frolic is a trail running event held on 31 Aug 2026 with a choice of two course options. Race headquarters are at The Chequers, Felsted.
The event format uses self navigation. Participants receive a written route description on the day. There are no course markings, marshals, or GPX files, and it is not a mass start event. Runners will be timed and must return to the finish within the event time limits.
Distances
- Approx 10 miles (minimum age 17)
- 10 km (minimum age 16)
Entry fees differ by affiliation: entry costs £9 for affiliated runners and £11 for unaffiliated runners, plus a 50p booking fee. A service fee of 4% (minimum 50p) applies to each sign-up. The entry price includes a voucher for either a bacon sandwich or a veggie sausage sandwich. No refunds are offered except if the race is cancelled. No transfers are allowed after 24 Aug.
Additional notes: running with dogs is not permitted. It is possible to enter more than once to allow friends to run together, but organisers require all entrants' emergency contact details, a mobile phone number to be carried on the day, email address, and confirmation of agreement to the event terms before the closing date.
