About the race
The Felsted Frolic is a trail running event organised by Essex Trail Events on 31 Aug 2026. Race headquarters are at The Chequers in Felsted, CM6 3DL. The event uses written route descriptions issued on the day; there are no course markings, no marshals and no GPX files. It is not a mass start event and runners will be timed out and back in at the finish.
Distances offered:
- approx 10 miles (minimum age 17)
- 10 km (minimum age 16)
Entry fees are listed as £9 for affiliated runners and £11 for unaffiliated runners, plus a 50p booking fee. The entry includes a voucher for a bacon sandwich or a veggie sausage sandwich. A service fee of 4% (minimum 50p) applies for each sign-up. Discounted entry is available for members of clubs affiliated to EA WA SA TRA until the closing date.
Additional event policies state that running with dogs is not permitted under UKA rules, there will be no refunds except if the race is cancelled, and no transfers are allowed after 24 Aug. If one person enters multiple participants they must provide each participant’s emergency contact, a phone number to be carried on the day, an email address and confirmation that those participants accept the same terms and conditions before the closing date.
