Burnsall Trail Half
Burnsall Trail Half is a trail race set at the riverside car park field in Burnsall, taking in several sections of the Dales Way footpath and around 500 m of ascent. The route includes riverside paths, stone tracks and open fields and offers 360 degree views across the Yorkshire Dales from the higher sections.
This event is the first race in the Due North Trail Race Series. The course is partially way marked and provides drink stations offering water and juice. Participants receive a post race meal such as pie or soup, Due North merchandise, and goodies from race sponsors. Free car parking is provided in the race field; spectators are asked not to drive into that car park or park on narrow country roads to avoid disruption and safety risks.
Facilities at the venue include a toilet block at the top of the car park and a registration tent in the car park field. Minimum age to enter is 17. Entry fees are listed for UKA/TRA affiliated and unaffiliated entrants; a series discount is available for entering three or more events in the Due North Race Series.
