Dog Days of Winter Dog Jog 5K & 1 Mile Walk
This is a trail event in Charlotte, NC designed for participants and their dogs. The program includes a 5K trail race and a 1 Mile walk, plus on-site activities such as adoption events, clinics, and dog-oriented vendors.

Packet pick-up is scheduled the evening before the event at the South Conference Center and additional packet pick-up is available on the day of the event. Race shirts and optional hoodies are guaranteed for participants who pre-register by January 25, 2027. The last day to pre-register for standard registration prices is February 4, 2027.
Participants must sign the Whitewater Center Assumption of Risk Agreement before participating; the waiver may be printed and brought to packet pick-up or completed on site. Registration is non-refundable.
Event operations and safety notes: dogs must be kept on a leash and owners should be prepared to clean up after their pets. Race headquarters will provide dog bowls with water. Trails remain open to other runners, hikers, and bikers; participants should communicate when passing. No e-bikes or powered transportation are permitted. Events are scheduled to proceed rain or shine, and the Whitewater Center may alter, reschedule, or cancel events as needed.
Awards are given to the top three overall male and female finishers in the 5K; recipients must be present at the award ceremony to receive an award. Parking is subject to Whitewater Center fees. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
