3rd Belarusian Carolinas Trails Friends Run
The event is scheduled for Saturday, December 5, 2026 at Park Road Park, 6220 Park Road, Charlotte, NC 28210. It offers community running and walking on two marked courses.
- 1 mile (white track)
- 5K (red track)
Both routes start and finish near the last softball fields and follow sections of the Sugar Creek Greenway. The course is described as mostly flat with an uphill finish back toward the softball fields. Parking and restrooms are available on site.
This will be a cupless event to reduce waste. Water, coffee, and snacks will be available at the start and finish area; participants are asked to bring a reusable cup or bottle and to carry a bottle if they will need water on the course.
All proceeds benefit Grandma’s House (Дом у Бабулі), a Belarusian-American initiative providing meals and overnight stays for Ukrainians in need. Event merchandise such as T-shirts and bags will also support the same cause. Every participant will receive a medal, and awards will be presented to the top three finishers in each race.
Organizers request volunteers for registration, water stations, and course support. Registration fees are listed as $20 for the 1 mile event and $30 for the 5K. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
