Trail Running calendar near Valley View 2026-2027

A USATF certified Half Marathon, 10K and 5K through scenic Towne Lake and McKinney on March 7, 2027. The event benefits the McKinney Police Association and offers finisher medals plus technical shirts for participants.

Trail races from 15K to 100 mile in the Lyndon B. Johnson National Grasslands near Alvord, Texas, featuring loops through pine and oak groves, aid stations, distance-specific awards, and a 30 hour cutoff for the 100 mile.

Trail races at Marion Sansom Park offering 50K, 25K, 10K and 5K on natural, technical trails. Two full aid stations, a cupless policy, a 300 runner cap, and finisher medals and swag.

Mud Factor MCKINNEY is a 5K mud and obstacle run at Myers Park & Event Center on May 1, 2027, with adult and KIDZ family waves. Participants must bring a printed signed waiver and adults must present photo ID; spectators pay a cash fee.

A multi-distance trail event at Possum Kingdom Lake with varied terrain, looped courses up to 69 miles, cupless aid stations, and distance-specific awards including a buckle for the 69 mile finishers.
