The Panther City Ultra takes place on April 4, 2026, at Marion Sansom Park in Fort Worth, Texas. The event has a maximum capacity of 300 runners. It is a trail race with four distances: 50k, 25k, 10k, and 5k.
Course Information
The race uses natural, unpaved paths with rocky sections and elevation changes. There are occasional steep climbs and descents, particularly near river and waterfall areas. The 5k route includes some pavement and is described as an easy route. The 10k route is harder, featuring more elevation and technical terrain. The 50k race involves 5 loops, the 25k involves 3 loops, the 10k involves 2 loops, and the 5k involves 1 loop.
Race Day Schedule
Packet pickup is available on race day from 5:00 AM to 8:30 AM at the start/finish area. The races have staggered start times: the 50k begins at 6:00 AM, the 25k at 7:00 AM, the 10k at 7:30 AM, and the 5k at 8:00 AM. There is a 13-hour cutoff time, with a hard cutoff for all races at 7:00 PM.
Aid and Logistics
There are two full aid stations offering drinks, sodas, sweet and salty snacks, sandwiches, fruit, and hot food later in the day. The event practices cupless racing; runners must provide their own reusable cups or hydration packs. Drop bags are allowed, and crew access is permitted at aid stations. Pacers are not allowed for any distance. Parking is available on-site with a shuttle service, and carpooling is encouraged.
Awards and Volunteering
All finishers receive a medal. Awards are given to the top three male, female, and non-binary finishers in each distance, as well as the top two masters (50+) in each category. Race swag includes a shirt or a trucker hat for all participants. Volunteers receive park entry, a camping area, race merchandise, a meal, and potential discounts or free entries for future events.
