Trail Running calendar near Elk River 2026-2027

Skyway5k on February 27, 2027 is a chip timed indoor 5K through the St. Paul skyway system starting and ending at Union Depot. The route crosses buildings with stairs turns and accessible elevator detours and welcomes walkers.

An annual event at Arden Hills Army Training Site on April 17, 2027 featuring a 30K foot march plus 30K and 5K trail runs, with music, a business expo, and proceeds supporting veteran and military programs.

Backyard ultra at Elm Creek Park Reserve in Maple Grove, MN. Runners complete a 4.167 mile loop each hour until one runner remains; crews may support between loops and the course circles Mud Lake with about 296 ft elevation change.

A trail event in early May at Saint John's Abbey Arboretum with 10 mile loops over varied terrain, offering 10 mile, 20 mile, and 50 kilometer options and two aid stations per loop.

A marathon presented by the St. Cloud River Runners along the Lake Wobegon Trail through Albany, Avon, St. Joseph and Holdingford. The 2027 race is set for May 8, 2027 and registration opens September 1, 2026.

A chip timed 5k run/walk at Wild Mountain Winery on May 16, 2027, with race swag, a wine pour at the finish, and age group awards. The two-lap course runs through vineyards and scenic trails with uneven sections and short steep inclines.

Mightyssippi features a 10 mile race, a two-person 5 mile relay and a new 5K along the Mississippi River in St Paul, finishing at Upper Landing Park with a shuttle back to the start.

The Lost in the Woods - Nicollet will take place in Nicollet on Saturday 5 June 2027. You can run 25 miles.

The Mud Factor - Minnesota will take place in Rogers on Saturday 19 June 2027.

Tough Mudder Twin Cities on June 26, 2027 at Wild Wings of Oneka in Hugo MN runs off trail through pine forests, wetlands and bogs. Options include 5K and 15K courses, an Infinity multi lap format, spectator access and group packages.
