Trail Running Calendar United Kingdom 2026-2027

Part of a ten day series at Suffolk Running Centre, Day 1 uses the Denham Flats route and offers distances from 5k to ultra. Parking, a base camp water station and a bespoke daily medal are included; entries are limited to 300.

Evening trail races at Aske Hall in North Yorkshire offer 5 km and 10 km single loop courses through parkland, pasture and woodland. The course can be uneven or muddy, trail shoes are recommended and poles are banned.

Join the Fellrunner in Sheldon on Thu 23 Jul 2026 for a spirited 4 mile village fell race across scenic Peak District climbs. Friendly entry on the day supports local funds and welcomes runners aged 14 and over.

A short fell race of 5.54 km with 315 m of ascent, run on a partially marked route that requires navigational skill and prior fell-running experience. Entry on the night costs £3 and the event is insured by the WFRA.

A midweek trail 10 km around Clowbridge Reservoir and the Pennine Bridleway with 175 m of climb. Entries via SiEntries, fee £10 and minimum age 15; marked course and spot prizes at the Sailing Club.

Enjoy a 10k trail run through Chelmsford featuring a unique brewery checkpoint. This non competitive event includes mid race and finishers drinks along with a commemorative medal for all participants.

Two long distance Lake District trail races held around Coniston on 24–26 July 2026: a 100 mile circular route with about 6300 m ascent and a 50 mile route from Dalemain with about 3100 m ascent; entries are full.

A single lap 10 kilometre trail race around RSPB St Aidan's Country Park in Swillington, Leeds, on public footpaths and bridleways. Entry is limited to 300 runners and basic facilities include water stations and toilets.

A 7 hour timed riverside challenge near Egham with flexible start options, themed medals from 3 km and goody bags for finishers. The signed course is mainly on paths and tarmac with aid stations each lap.

The Punk Panther Takes the Hindmost will take place in Otley on Saturday 25 July 2026.

A 7-mile multi terrain race in Tywardreath, Cornwall, with a hilly village lap and countryside sections. Organised by the village fete committee, the event supports local charities and forms part of the Cornwall Multi-Terrain Race Series.

A 100 km route across the Brecon Beacons with 3178 m ascent, six staffed checkpoints and a 24 hour cut off. Entry by application on 25 July 2026 requires prior ultramarathon experience and competent map and compass navigation.

A 100 mile mountain ultramarathon following the Beacons Way National Trail through the Brecon Beacons. This self navigation race features over 6000m of ascent and passes the highest peaks in South Wales.

A 54 km circular trail through the Yorkshire Wolds starting and ending at Pocklington, with about 4,100 ft of climb, four staffed checkpoints and a 12 hour overall cut off.

Multi distance trail race along the River Severn between Ironbridge and Bridgnorth. Distances run from 9 miles to 37 miles with 9.4 mile laps and aid stations every 4.7 miles.

Multi-distance trail running in the Brecon Beacons near Abergavenny on 25 to 26 July 2026, with routes from 12 km to 110 km and UTMB Index race status for key categories.

A 7 hour time challenge at Dare Valley Country Park where runners choose distance from 3 km to 50 km. Finishers from 3 km receive a themed medal and longer distances earn pins.

Alderman's Ascent in Greenfield on 25 July 2026 is an 8.5 km fell race with over 400 m of ascent, visiting Pots and Pans and Shaw Rocks. It is classed AS under FRA rules and will be a counter for the English Fell Running Championship.
