Trail Running calendar near Ogmore-by-Sea 2026-2027

Day one of a two day mountain marathon at Westermill Farm, Exford, featuring a 40 km course with 1800 m of climb. Teams of two must pre-enter and the entry fee covers both race days and campsite.

A series of mountain trail races across the Black Mountains and Brecon Beacons offering four distances from 21 miles to 100 miles. Routes combine marked sections, GPS navigation and staffed checkpoints with mountain safety cover.

An evening trail event at Haldon Forest Park on 30 October 2026 offering a 2.5 km fun run plus 5 km and 10 km running and canicross options, free race photography and a Halloween 2025 medal for each finisher.

An 8 hour timed off-road and paved event in Bridestowe with 5.3 km laps on a disused train line, limited to 70 entrants and awarding medals to finishers.

Trail races around Roadford Lake organised by Sportiva Events. Distances include 10K and half marathon with canicross options. Entries include chip timing, feed station, medal, refreshments and category prizes.

A 32 km fell event on Pen y Fan with three ascents via six different routes and an optional 16 kg weighted category; navigation and GPX use are required.

Winter fell race up Sugar Loaf covering 9.6 km with 485 m ascent from The Crown, Pantygelli; full WFRA kit required and entry via Fabian4 with limited parking.

Timed lap event at Barry Sidings Country Park with flexible start times, distances from 5 km to ultra on a tarmac out and back course and a medal or no medal option.

November 2026

An off road ultramarathon from Maiden Newton of about 35.9 miles with roughly 1,300 m of ascent, passing hillforts and coastal views. Six aid stations offer water and cake, GPX files and maps are provided for navigation.

A chip-timed marathon around East Cornwall from Pensilva, following a route past several local landmarks with a 6.5-hour course cut off.

A 10 mile off road trail in Stonehouse near Stroud on 1 November 2026, starting with about one mile uphill followed by nine miles of undulating muddy trails. Canicross runners are welcome and there is a 2 hour 30 minute cutoff.

Coastal ultra events on the South West Coast Path offering self-navigation and GPS tracking across distances from 38 km to 110 miles.

Trail races at Oxwich Bay feature 10K, half, marathon and ultra courses across cliffs, dunes, woodland and beaches as part of the Endurancelife season.

Three trail races around Talybont On Usk on 7 November 2026, from a 13 mile half to an approximately 49 mile ultra that includes an out and back to Pen y Fan.

A twilight off road 10k around Eastbury Park and Chettle with wooded sections and historic landmarks. Medals, trophies and refreshments included and entries are limited to 200.

30 mile ultra through the Brecon Beacons, climbing to Pen y Fan with 3750 ft gain, five checkpoints and a six hour mid race cut off; limited to 200 entries on 7 Nov 2026.

Three trail distances between Kingswear, Totnes and Dartmouth on waymarked coastal and riverside paths, with aid stations, mandatory navigation kit, and a bespoke finisher medal and cupcake.

A multi-terrain 12 km off-road race from Barton Farm Country Park with a river crossing, chip timing, prizes and team awards, raising funds for Alzheimer's Support.

A ten mile cross country race in Chipping Sodbury with muddy, varied terrain and water obstacles. Held on Remembrance Sunday and preceded by a commemorative silence, it draws around 1300 runners.

Fully marked trail races at Margam Park including a half marathon and a 10k, running through woodland, parkland and the deer park with coastal views; entries include parking, timing, a medal and download photos.
