South Wales - Lovespoon Run 2027
Phoenix Running South Wales stages a timed, lap-based event on Saturday 23 January 2027 at the Rock UK Summit Centre near Trelewis, Merthyr Tydfil, within Parc Taf Bargoed. The event marks St Dwynwen's Day and uses an all-new colour scheme described as "Violets are Blue."
Participants run an out-and-back lap of 5.3 km (3.28 miles) and may complete as many or as few laps as they choose within a total event time limit of seven hours. The minimum recorded distance is one lap (3.28 miles). The course is multi-terrain: the majority runs on tarmac paths with approximately 0.5 miles on a riverside trail and an overall elevation gain of 37 m.

Entry categories list affiliated and unaffiliated pricing at £33 and £35 respectively, with a lower-cost no-medal entry option available from £20. The organiser provides aid station support, same-day results, athlete profiles, digital bibs and finishers certificates. A bespoke finisher medal is offered, and a no-medal option is advertised to reduce cost.
