A non stop 130 mile canal towpath race from Liverpool to Leeds run under UK Athletics rules. Open to runners aged 20 and over, the event has a 40 hour limit and a limited number of unsupported entries with regular feed points.

Join the Arnison Crag Horseshoe fell race in Patterdale on Sat 29 Aug 2026, starting at King George Playing Fields as part of Patterdale Dog Day. A steep 5 km with 300 m climb, entries on the day £5, minimum age 14.

Tackle a classic Pennines fell race in Pendleton on 29 August 2026. The 8 km course packs 457 m of ascent across rough terrain, with on the day entries and homemade cakes and a cosy village pub to reward you.

A trail event from Skipton across Pennine and Dales Way terrain offering 13, 20, 34 and 50 mile courses with checkpoints, trackers for ultras, mandatory safety kit and recorded climb and ranking points.

A Lake District fell race on Sun 30 Aug 2026 with a senior course of 2.5 km and 270 m climb. Entry is on the day with no pre-entry, and junior races cover U9 (from age 6), U12, U14 and U17.

A hill race near Porthmadog covering 7.2 km with 564 m of ascent, partially marked and requiring navigational skills and experience. Entry is day only for £5 and teams may enter free.

A fell race at Powder House Field near Hebden on 31 August 2026 covering 1.50 miles 3.20 km with about 400 feet 244 meters of climb, featuring a steep ascent, top running and an uphill finish.

Join the Dark Side Of The Combe on Mon 31 Aug 2026 in the Lake District as part of the Black Combe Country Fair at Bootle. This 12.5 km fell race with 625 m ascent is a tough, scenic test and has on the day entry.

A 7.4 km mountain race with 380 m ascent in the Clwydian Range, held during the Cilcain Show. It includes senior inter-regional and North Wales regional championships, junior races with free entry, and on-site facilities.

September 2026

Scenic 10 km fell race in the historic village of Eyam with a route over Sir William Hill and Abney Moor. A 3 km junior race runs on the day; prizes, real ale and a barbecue follow and places are limited.

A short but steep fell race held during Kilnsey Show on 1 September 2026, featuring a rope-assisted rock chimney descent for seniors, junior crag races with scree descents, limited pre-entry for seniors and specific footwear requirements.

Muker Show Fell Race is a short fell course that crosses a river and climbs to Fremington Edge, about 2.25 km with 170 m of climb. It includes youth categories, has no Under 9s class and counts for the BOFRA Senior Championship.

A short evening fell race of about 8 km and 360 m ascent featuring a tough opening climb, a rollercoaster route over local summits and a field finish. Mandatory FRA kit, an enforced cut off on Brown Wardle and a minimum age of 18 apply.

A trail 5 km race at Clowbridge Reservoir, forming the first of a three race autumn series on 3rd, 10th and 17th Sept 2026. The two lap, mostly flat route has about 25 m elevation and is open to ages 11 and over.

A 7.7 km fell race around Longstone Edge in the Peak District on 4 September 2026, mostly off road with 290 m of ascent. Entry for the main race is limited to 200 runners and junior races are run separately.

A multi-terrain off-road race of about 4 miles in Shotton on 4 September 2026, with pre-entry fees (£10, £8 affiliated), prize categories by age, a minimum age of 17, and a 200-person entry limit.

A 10 km trail race on 5 September 2026 in Malham, part of the Due North Trail Trilogy. The route visits Malham Cove and Malham Tarn, includes a climb to Weets Top, and offers drinks stations, a post race meal, prizes and free parking.
