Vale of Clwyd 5k
The Vale of Clwyd 5k is based at the southern end of the Vale of Clwyd, starting and finishing at the Caravan Park & Cafe at Llanbenwch near Ruthin. The event uses a looped course that runs on minor roads and public footpaths and includes some trail sections.
The course is exactly 5k and is multi terrain in nature, combining minor road and trail surfaces. The route includes the odd short gentle climb but is mostly relatively flat and offers scenic views of the surrounding countryside.
The event is electronically timed. Category prizes are awarded and all participants receive a medal. There is a cafe on site and facilities for runners and spectators.
