Rudolph 5
Rudolph 5 is a festive multi terrain event at Blackpool Zoo offering a five mile run and a four mile walk. The event is held in memory of a past participant and incorporates seasonal themes such as antlers, red noses and optional fancy dress.
Every entrant receives Rudolph antlers and a red nose. Fancy dress is optional, with Santa, elf and reindeer outfits commonly seen on the course. The route uses mixed surfaces and may include muddy, soft or slippery sections depending on weather.
Event HQ is located close to the start and finish and will be the main point for race number collection, event information and race day enquiries. Participants should arrive prepared for winter conditions underfoot and dress appropriately for the weather.
Parking is available at Blackpool Zoo and may be shared with other zoo visitors; attendees are asked to use only designated areas and to park considerately. By car, follow signs for the zoo and Stanley Park, using the main zoo entrance from East Park Drive. Regular bus services run along East Park Drive, and Blackpool North is the nearest main railway station.
Because of the course terrain, the event may not be suitable for standard wheelchairs or for participants who require continuous level, hard surface access. Entrants with specific accessibility requirements are invited to contact the organisers before entering to discuss possible adjustments.
Full race day information will be emailed to entrants approximately 7 to 10 days before the event and will include final timings, parking and access details, course information and facilities. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
