Curvy Cuerden Challenge
The event is an off road trail run based at the visitor centre in Cuerden Valley Park. The core loop is a 5 km undulating route around the park that passes through trees and wildlife.
Participants may run as many 5 km laps as they wish within a six hour limit. Completing one lap qualifies as a finisher and earns an official time and a medal. Specific target distances are offered by completing multiple laps:
- 5 km per lap
- Half marathon: 4 full laps plus a short loop
- Marathon: 8 full laps plus a short loop
An aid station is located at the 3 mile point and the visitor centre will be open for refreshments. The course is fully signed and marshalled, and there is on site parking. The event operates under Trail Running Association permit 8054 and is held under UKA rules.
Entry fees are listed as £25.00 for affiliated runners and £27.00 for unattached runners. All participants must be over 18. Runners aged 18 to 19 may enter up to the marathon distance; runners over 20 have no maximum distance specified. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
