About the race
PFW Running presents a six hour timed trail event at Cuerden Valley visitor centre in Preston on Friday 9th October 2026. The course is an off-road, undulating 5 km lap that starts and finishes at the park visitor centre and runs around Cuerden Valley.
Runners may complete as many 5 km laps as they wish within the six hour time limit. Any participant who completes at least one lap will receive an official time and a bespoke finisher medal. Aid is available at a drinks station located at three miles and the visitor centre will be open for refreshments. The course will be fully signed and marshalled, and on-site parking is provided.
The event is held under UKA rules and a Trail Running Association permit has been applied for. Entrant numbers are capped at 100. Age limits require all participants to be over 18; those aged 18-19 have a maximum distance of a marathon, while participants aged 20 and over have no maximum distance.
Entry terms state that refunds are not permitted, deferrals are not allowed, and transfers to another runner are accepted up to one week before the event. A portion of each entry fee, £3, will be donated to Cuerden Valley Park for park upkeep.
