Twas The Run Before Christmas - High Lodge
Twas The Run Before Christmas takes place on Sunday 13 December 2026 at High Lodge, Thetford Forest, Brandon IP27 0AF. The organiser will have exclusive use of the main area and will base operations adjacent to Oak Lodge.
Participants can choose from several fixed distances, including:
- 5k
- 10k
- 15k
- Half Marathon
- Heavy Half Marathon
- Full Marathon
- Ultra Marathon
The route is built from a 5.3 km loop within the forest grounds; the final route is to be confirmed. A heavy half marathon is set as five laps by standard with the option to change to six or seven laps on the day. An ultra is set as nine laps by standard with the option to increase laps up to twelve according to time available.
There will be a water aid station at the lap point. Oak Lodge will be used for registration and for teas, coffee and cake on completion. The event is cupless so attendees should bring their own cups or bottles for refilling. Parking for participants is discounted to £5 with a QR code. Twenty percent of the entry fee is allocated to forest upkeep. Maximum entrants are 300, entries close 11/12/2026, and minimum age is 18 years.
