Zane Grey Highline Trail Runs
The Zane Grey Highline Trail Runs take place in Christopher Creek, Arizona. The 37th annual event is scheduled for Saturday April 24, 2027 and offers long trail ultramarathon distances starting and finishing at the 70-acre Mountain Meadow Ranch property.
The courses use maintained sections of the Highline Trail and avoid the burn area of Hell's Gate. The terrain includes extensive singletrack, multiple stream crossings, and views across the Mogollon Rim at the southern edge of the Colorado Plateau.
Distances offered:
- 50 mile trail ultra, about 86% singletrack and more than 6,500 ft of climbing
- 50K trail ultra, over 90% singletrack and about 4,500 ft of climbing
The 50K follows much of the same terrain as the 50 mile course but omits the final 19 miles of the longer route.
