WRNL 7 at Hamworthy is an orienteering score event held around the Yachtsman pub. The event uses a newly created street-and-park map overprinted with control codes and score values at a scale of 1:4000. Entry numbers show 8 of 55 places entered. Entry fees are: Senior £7.00, Senior chip hire £1.00, Junior entry free, Junior chip hire £0.00. Juniors are defined as under 21 on 31st December. Full credit withdrawals are available until the night before the event.

Course format and practical information

The course is a 60 minute straight score using SI (Sport Ident) timing control boxes that are SIAC enabled and hung on small O kites. Dibber (SI Card 5) hire is available for £1. A printed score showing splits will be provided at download and results will be published online later the same night. Controls award points; points per control may vary from 10 to 50. Competitors lose 10 points for every minute or part minute over the hour. Bonus points of 10 per minute under the hour apply only if every control is visited. Terrain is streets and parks. Free parking is available at the venue and in surrounding streets. Non-members are not covered by British Orienteering public liability insurance and take part at their own risk.
