Course Details

The 100 Mile and 100 Kilometer events are point-to-point races. The 100 Mile course begins at Bayfront Park in Petoskey and concludes at Bayview Park in Alpena. The 100 Kilometer race starts at the Tomahawk Lake State Forest Campground in Onaway and also finishes in Alpena. The 50 Kilometer event is designed as an out-and-back course starting and finishing at Bayview Park in Alpena.

Runners encounter a mix of surfaces including single-track trails, gravel roads, limestone paths, and seasonal roads. The terrain varies from packed dirt and grass to sandy sections and pavement. While much of the route focuses on approachable surfaces, some trail sections are technical with roots and rocks.

Logistics and Support

Aid stations are positioned every 5-8 miles along the route to support participants. For the point-to-point challenges, pre-race shuttles are available to transport runners from the finish line in Alpena to the various starting locations in Petoskey and Onaway. Packet pickup is held on the Friday before the race at a host hotel in Alpena, as well as at the start lines on race morning. Awards are provided for finishers, including special recognition for those completing the 100 Mile course in under 24 hours. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
