Wolverine State 100

The Wolverine State 100 is an ultra-distance event held October 10–11, 2026, in Michigan's Lower Peninsula. The course crosses from the shores of Lake Michigan to the banks of Lake Huron and uses a mix of trails and seasonal roads between Petoskey and Alpena.

The event offers multiple race formats:

  • 100-Mile Ultra: Point-to-point course beginning in Petoskey and ending in Alpena.
  • 100K Ultra: Point-to-point course finishing in Alpena.
  • 50K Ultra (Sunday): Out-and-back course based in Alpena with generous cutoffs.
  • 100-Mile Relay: Team relay across the Lower Peninsula.

Terrain includes single-track trails, gravel roads, limestone paths, and seasonal roads. Aid stations are placed approximately every 5 to 8 miles and will be fully stocked.

Race procedures and financial policies are specified by the organizer. If the race is canceled for reasons beyond the control of the race director or committee, refunds will not be issued; race packets including shirts will be made available at a location to be determined. No refunds will be issued within 30 days of the event. Earlier than 30 days a 50% refund of the entry fee may be requested excluding processing fees. Entries cannot be deferred to another year. Entries may be transferred to another individual for a $5 transfer fee and t-shirt size cannot be changed. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
