The Wolverine State 100 is an ultra-distance running event held in Michigan’s Lower Peninsula, showcasing the region's rugged beauty. The race features multiple distances: a 100-mile ultra from Petoskey to Alpena, a 100K ultra finishing in Alpena, a 50K out-and-back course based in Alpena, and a 100-mile relay. Participants traverse diverse terrain including single-track trails, gravel roads, limestone paths, and seasonal roads. Aid stations are spaced every 5 to 8 miles to support runners.
