Wise Raven Trail Race, October 17, 2026, Camp Heidelberg, Waterloo ON

Overview and purpose This trail race takes place on the Camp Heidelberg property in Kitchener Waterloo. Any money in excess of event expenses will be donated to Run-Walk-Roll for WRHNCC. This is the 11th year raising funds for WRHNCC. The event is sanctioned by Athletics Ontario and limited to 115 spots.

Course Runners complete a 2.5 km loop through a well marked forest trail. Leaving the start-finish area, the route includes a fast, flat section that passes a covered aid station toward the Camp Heidelberg pond. The course is mainly fast, groomed trails with short technical sections featuring rocks and roots and a few rolling hills. Each loop has approximately 45 m of elevation gain. Participants should be prepared for variable October weather. There is ample space to set up a drop bag at the aid station.

• 6 hour individual and 6 hour relay option

Logistics All events are electronically timed by Chiptime Results. The aid station offers water, electrolytes, pop, candy, chips, and pickles, with occasional PB&J sandwiches and pie. This is a cup-less event so bring a water bottle. Pacers are not allowed. All finishers receive a medal and additional items. Refunds are not offered; runners may defer to the following year. Distance transfers are permitted; moving to a longer distance requires payment of the difference and transfers to shorter distances are non refundable. Relay teams register via a team captain, may include 2 to 4 members, must complete full 2.5 km laps without mid lap exchanges, and pass an ankle timing chip between runners. Teams are classified as mixed regardless of composition. Parking is available. No pets or alcohol are allowed on the property. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
