Wise Raven Trail Race
Wise Raven Trail Race is scheduled for October 17, 2026 at Camp Heidelberg - K-W Optimist Club in Waterloo, Ontario. The event is a sanctioned race by Athletics Ontario and donates any money in excess of expenses to Run-Walk-Roll for WRHNCC. This is the 11th year the event raises funds for WRHNCC and entry is limited to 115 spots.
The course uses a well marked 2.5 km loop on groomed forest trails with some short technical sections of rocks and roots and a few rolling hills. Each loop has approximately 45 m of elevation gain. The route leaves the start area onto a fast, flat section that passes a covered aid station and heads toward the Camp Heidelberg pond. Participants should be prepared for changing October weather. There is room to set up a drop bag at the aid station area.
Distances and formats:
- 5 km : 2 loops
- 10 km : 4 loops
- 25 km : 10 loops
- 50 km : 20 loops
- 6 hour individual option and 6 hour relay
The event is electronically timed by Chiptime Results. Aid station supplies include water, electrolytes, pop, candy, chips, pickles and sometimes sandwiches and pie. This is a cup less event; participants should bring a water bottle. Pacers are not allowed. All finishers receive a medal. No dogs and no alcohol are permitted on the property. Refunds are not offered; entries may be deferred to the following year and distance transfers are permitted under the stated conditions.
