Wise Raven Trail Race

Wise Raven Trail Race at Camp Heidelberg, Waterloo

The event takes place on October 17, 2026 at Camp Heidelberg - K W Optimist Club on Kressler Road in Waterloo, Ontario. Entry is limited to 115 spots and the race is sanctioned by Athletics Ontario. Any money in excess of expenses will be donated to Run Walk Roll for WRHNCC; this is the 11th year raising funds for that organization.

The course is a 2.5 km loop on well marked forest trails within the camp property. Leaving the start and finish area, the route includes a fast, flat section toward the camp pond and a covered aid station. Most of the loop is made up of fast, groomed trails with some short technical sections featuring rocks and roots and a few rolling hills. Each loop has approximately 45 m of elevation gain. October weather can include rain or snow.

• 6 hour individual and 6 hour relay option

Chiptime Results provides electronic timing. The aid station is covered and stocks water, electrolytes, soda, candy, chips, pickles and occasionally PB and J sandwiches and pie. This is a cup less event so participants must have their own water bottle. Drop bags are allowed at the aid station area. There is ample parking on site. No dogs or pets are permitted on the property and no alcohol is allowed at any time. Pacers are not permitted. Finishers receive a medal and other items. Refunds are not offered; registrations may be deferred to the following year. Distance transfers are allowed under the stated conditions.
