Wise Raven Trail Race - Camp Heidelberg, Waterloo

Wise Raven Trail Race takes place on October 17, 2026 at Camp Heidelberg - K W Optimist Club, Kressler Road, Waterloo, Ontario. Any money in excess of event expenses will be donated to Run Walk Roll for WRHNCC. This is the 11th year raising funds. The event is sanctioned by Athletics Ontario and is limited to 115 spots.

The course is a well marked 2.5 km loop through forested trails on the Camp Heidelberg property. Leaving the start-finish area runners follow a fast, flat section past a covered aid station toward the camp pond. The trail is primarily fast, groomed surfaces with some short technical sections featuring rocks and roots and a few rolling hills along the loop. Each loop has approximately 45 m of elevation gain. October weather may include rain or snow. There is ample room to set up a drop bag at the aid station.

• 5 km 2 loops
• 10 km 4 loops
• 25 km 10 loops
• 50 km 20 loops
• 6 hour individual and 6 hour relay option

Relay details: teams consist of 2 to 4 members, an ankle timing chip is passed between runners at the end of each 2.5 km loop, and runners must complete an entire lap before switching. All teams are classified as mixed for results purposes. Electronic timing will be provided by Chiptime Results. The aid station will offer water, pop, electrolytes, assorted candy, chips, pickles and possibly PB&J sandwiches and pie. This is a cupless event so participants should bring water bottles. Pacers are not allowed. No pets or alcohol are permitted on the property. All finishers receive a medal and additional items. Refunds are not offered; deferral to the following year is available.
