Wise Raven Trail Race

The Wise Raven Trail Race takes place at the Camp Heidelberg - K-W Optimist Club property in Waterloo, Ontario. The event features a 2.5 km loop course through a marked forest trail. The terrain consists primarily of fast, groomed trails balanced with technical sections containing rocks, roots, and rolling hills. Each loop includes approximately 45m of elevation gain.

Participants can select from various distance options based on the number of loops completed:

  • 5 km (2 loops)
  • 10 km (4 loops)
  • 25 km (10 loops)
  • 50 km (20 loops)
  • 6 hour (individual)
  • 6 hour relay (teams of 2 to 4 members)

The event is sanctioned by Athletics Ontario and is limited to 115 total spots. For the relay option, teammates pass an ankle timing chip at the end of each full loop. A covered aid station is available at the start-finish area, with space for participants to set up drop bags. This is a cup-less event, and runners are required to bring their own water bottles.

The property offers plenty of parking for participants. Please note that pets and alcohol are not permitted on the Camp Heidelberg grounds. All participants receive a finishers medal and additional items upon completion of their race. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
