About the Event

Tails on Trails is a community fundraising race held at Bechtel Park in Waterloo, Ontario. The event supports the Humane Society of Kitchener-Waterloo and Stratford Perth. The course utilizes a 2.5 km trail loop within the park, which participants complete once or twice depending on their selected distance.

The event features several participation options for both individuals and those accompanied by dogs:

  • 5 km Race: A timed trail race consisting of two loops, available for canine and handler teams or human-only participants.
  • 2.5 km Run/Walk: An untimed single-loop trail event for canine teams or individual walkers and runners.
  • Pup Run: A 200 m untimed fun run designed for canines and participants who prefer a shorter distance.

Participants have the opportunity to fundraise for additional rewards. Raising 60 $ or more earns an exclusive event t-shirt, while raising 120 $ or more includes both the t-shirt and a swag bag. Fundraising rewards and medals are subject to availability. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
