Course and logistics

The race is a trail event of 8 miles. The route runs from Hethpool in College Valley back to Wooler and follows St Cuthbert's Way for much of the course. The trail is waymarked with the SCW emblem and follows well defined tracks. About 1.5 miles from the finish, participants are directed off the St Cuthbert's Way back to the Cheviot Center. Runners are transported from the Cheviot Center to the race start.
