Wildcat Ramble 5K

Overview

The Wildcat Ramble 5K and Fun Run takes place on Saturday, February 14, 2026. The event has two distances: a Wildcat Fun Run and a Wildcat 5K. Both runs start at Oglethorpe Avenue Elementary School in Athens, Georgia.

Location and Courses

All events are based at Oglethorpe Avenue Elementary School. The Fun Run takes place completely on the school property. The 5K course uses school property, including trails behind the school that link into YMCA trails.

Registration and Fees

There is a separate registration fee for each event. Registration for the Wildcat Fun Run costs $15 plus a sign-up fee. Registration for the Wildcat 5K costs $30 plus a sign-up fee, with a t-shirt guaranteed if registered by January 30, 2026. After that date, the 5K price increases to $35 and t-shirts are not guaranteed. Registrations end on race day.

Schedule and Awards

On the morning of the event, bib and t-shirt pickup and race-day registration open at 7:30 AM. The Fun Run starts at 8:00 AM, followed by the 5K at 8:30 AM. An awards ceremony is scheduled for 9:30 AM. Awards are given for overall male and female finishers, masters male and female finishers, and the top three male and female finishers in various age groups from 10 and under to 80 and over.

The event supports Oglethorpe Avenue Elementary School. Professional timing is provided by Classic Race Services, and the event is part of the Black Bag Race Series.
