Trailblazer 5K : event details
The Trailblazer 5K takes place on March 28, 2026 in Dudley Park, Athens, GA (100 Dudley Park Road). The event is held on the Firefly Trail as an out-and-back course. The course is USATF certified (GA24046WC) and is a Peachtree qualifying event. Proceeds will benefit children's programming at the Heard Park Community Center in East Athens. The race is part of the 2026 Firefly Trail Race Series and is also a member of the Black Bag Race Series and the Clover Glove Race Series. Finish line management and timing are provided by Classic Race Services.

Entry, fees and logistics
Trailblazer 5K registration is listed at $25 plus a $3.15 signup fee, with the base price increasing to $30 after March 6, 2026; t-shirts are guaranteed only through March 6. The Fun Run is free for ages 12 and under; children may purchase a t-shirt for $10 if registered by March 6. Virtual registration ends March 25, 2026; virtual entrants are not eligible for race-day awards or t-shirts and must submit virtual finish results by March 28, 2026. Awards for the 5K include overall male/female, masters male/female, and top three male/female in 10-year age groups from 10 and under through 80 and over. Participation medals are provided for Fun Run children. Main parking is listed at 1170 E Broad St., with limited parking at 286 S.
