The Trailblazer 5K takes place at Dudley Park, 100 Dudley Park Road, Athens, GA 30601. The event benefits children’s programming at the Heard Park Community Center in the East Athens neighborhood. It is a new member race in the 2026 Firefly Trail Race Series and also part of the Black Bag Race Series and Clover Glove Race Series. Finish line management and timing are provided by Classic Race Services.

Course, registration, and race details
The course is an out-and-back on the Firefly Trail. It is USATF certified (GA24046WC) and is listed as a Peachtree Qualifying event. Registration fees listed include a $25 race fee for the Trailblazer 5K and for the Virtual 5K; the Trailblazer 5K registration fee increases to $30 after March 6, 2026. The Fun Run is free for ages 12 and under; t-shirts for the Fun Run are available for purchase and require registration by March 6, 2026. Virtual registration ends March 25, 2026, and virtual runners are not eligible for race day t-shirts or awards. Awards for the Trailblazer 5K include overall M/F, masters M/F, and top three M/F in 10-year age groups from 10 and under through 80 and over.
