Wild Dog Backyard Ultra is an endurance running event held at Lardner Park, via Warragul, Victoria. The event is scheduled for 26 June 2026 and takes place on private grounds that include farmland, trails and open spaces. The course is a loop of 6.71 km.

Format and rules

Runners complete the same 6.71 km loop repeatedly. A new lap starts every hour and the race continues until only one runner remains. If a competitor misses the cut-off or fails to start the subsequent lap, they are eliminated. The final winner must complete one more lap than the second-last competitor.

Entries open on 29 August. The event is part of the Ultra Series Australia calendar and is organised alongside other similar backyard-style events. A volunteer program supports the event; volunteers are eligible for a 20% discount on a future Ultra Series event, and this discount can be gifted to another person.
