Wild Christmas Charity Run
The Wild Christmas Charity Run is an annual trail event supporting the Hospice of St Francis; the organiser states all profits go to the hospice. This edition is the seventh running of the event. Distances offered are:
- 8km guided trail run
- 4km guided family-friendly walk
Both routes are guided by run or walk leaders who provide trail running tips and local information. A mince pie is included with each entry. A prize is awarded for best fancy dress; wearing fancy dress is optional. The event is open to all ages; children under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Practical information
Location is Church Farm Cafe, Aldbury. Free on-site parking is available. Rail access is a 15 minute walk from the station; organisers note regular trains from London Euston to Tring take about 40 minutes. On-site facilities include a cafe, toilets and a bag drop. Dogs are permitted but must use canicross equipment, be kept on lead at all times and owners must clear up; places for dogs are limited. The organiser lists mandatory kit for the event. Spaces are limited to 50. Ticket prices shown are Adult £20 and Child (under 13) £5. Hot drinks, including mulled wine, are available to purchase.
