Wharfedale Trail Half Marathon

The Wharfedale Trail Half Marathon takes place on 6 June 2026 at Wharfedale Rugby Club in Threshfield, near Skipton in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. The event is organised by Wharfedale Marathon Events and is held under UK Athletics and Trail Runners Association rules.

The race is a 13.2 mile trail course that is flagged throughout. It follows well established footpaths including the Dalesway and Mastiles Lane, with over 2,000 feet of total ascent. Notable viewpoints on the route include Scott Gate, Mastiles and Boss Moor. The event uses the SPORTident timing system; race numbers and timing cards are issued on the day.

Prizes total over £800 and include course record prizes, a specially designed event memento and various spot prizes for competitors. Entry opens on 21 November 2025 and closes on 3 June 2026. The entry fee is £30.00, with a £2.00 discount for affiliated athletes. The minimum age to enter is 18. Entries are managed through the SiEntries system and require a registered account. A 3.5 mile fell race near Clitheroe with 1247 ft of ascent, on the partially marked Mearley Clough route. Entry on the day includes a pasta supper and prize vouchers, and under 18s need parental consent.

A single-loop 10.5 km trail at Rudding Park, Harrogate, over mixed and hilly terrain with technical sections and a final climb. The race supports Mind in Harrogate and includes a post-race goody bag, food and on-site entertainment.

Tackle a classic Pennine fell on Wed 20 May 2026 in Kildwick, starting at the White Lion. This punchy 6 km course with 245 m climb delivers steep ups, junior races and a friendly crowd; pre entry is available and parking is limited.

A 12 kilometre undulating trail race in Rodley, Leeds on 20 May 2026 featuring canal paths, Woodhall Hills and Calverley Woods with a unique split field where runners travel clockwise and anticlockwise on the same route.
