The Wharfedale Trail Half Marathon takes place on Saturday 6 June 2026. The race starts and finishes at Wharfedale Rugby Club in Threshfield, near Skipton in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. It is organised by Wharfedale Marathon Events and held under UK Athletics and Trail Runners Association rules.
Race details
The course is a flagged trail route of 13.2 miles that follows established footpaths, including the Dalesway and Mastiles Lane. The route includes over 2,000 feet of ascent and passes viewpoints at Scott Gate, Mastiles and Boss Moor. The event uses the SPORTident timing system; race numbers and timing cards are issued on the day.
Entries and fees
Entries open on 21 November 2025 and close on 3 June 2026. The minimum age is 18. Entry fees are listed as £20.00 initially, rising to £25.00 from 01/02/2026 and £30.00 from 01/05/2026. There is a £2 discount for affiliated athletes (UKA/TRA). Entry requires a SiEntries account.
