Wharfedale Trail Half Marathon - Saturday 6 June 2026
The Wharfedale Trail Half Marathon is a 13.2 mile trail race held in Wharfedale with the start and finish at Wharfedale Rugby Club in Threshfield, near Skipton in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. The route is flagged throughout and follows well established footpaths, including the Dalesway and Mastiles Lane.
The course includes more than 2,000 feet of ascent and passes viewpoints at Scott Gate, Mastiles and Boss Moor. The race is organised under UK Athletics and Trail Runners Association rules. SPORTident electronic timing is used and race numbers and timing cards are issued on the day.
Prizes total over £800 and include course record prizes and a specially designed event memento, with additional spot prizes. The event raises funds for Wharfedale RUFC, with proceeds used to improve clubhouse facilities for rugby and non-rugby users. The rugby club provides facilities for the day and event organisation, facilities and marshals are supplied by volunteers.
Entry information published for the event lists entries opening on 21 November 2025 and closing on 3 June 2026. The minimum age for entry is 18. Entry fees are tiered: £20, rising to £25 from 1 February 2026 and £30 from 1 May 2026. A £2 discount applies for affiliated athletes. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
