The Wharfedale Trail Half Marathon takes place on Saturday 6 June 2026 at Wharfedale Rugby Club in Threshfield, near Skipton in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. The event is organised to raise funds for Wharfedale RUFC, a community rugby club. The rugby club provides the venue free on the day and event staff and marshals are voluntary.

Course and logistics

The race is a 13.2 miles trail event flagged throughout the course. The route follows established footpaths, including the Dalesway and Mastiles Lane, and includes viewpoints at Scott Gate, Mastiles and Boss Moor. Total ascent on the route is over 2,000 feet. The event is held under UK Athletics and Trail Runners Association rules. SPORTident timing will be used and race numbers and timing cards are issued on the day.

Entry and prizes

Entries open Friday 21 November 2025 and close Wednesday 3 June 2026. Minimum age is 18. Entry fees are tiered: £20, rising to £25 from 01/02/2026 and £30 from 01/05/2026.
