Wharfedale Trail Half Marathon

The Wharfedale Trail Half Marathon takes place on 6 June 2026 and starts and finishes at Wharfedale Rugby Club in Threshfield near Skipton in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. The event is a 13.2 mile trail race flagged throughout the entire course and organised under UK Athletics and Trail Runners Association rules.

The route follows established footpaths including the Dalesway and Mastiles Lane and includes more than 2,000 feet of ascent. Notable viewpoints on the route include Scott Gate, Mastiles and Boss Moor. The race uses the SPORTident timing system; race numbers and timing cards are issued on the day.

Entry details published for the event show an entry fee of £25 rising to £30 from 01/05/2026, with a £2 discount for affiliated athletes. Entries open 21 November 2025 and close 3 June 2026. Competitors must be at least 18 years old.

Take on the Cautley Horseshoe fell race near Sedbergh on 6 May 2026, a short but brutal 7.5 km with 805 m of ascent and spectacular upland views. Entry on the day is £5 and the Cross Keys Inn will be open for post race food and drink.

Kirkstall Rock up n' Run is a pop up summer series event in Leeds offering 5k and 10k races. Entries can be paid online or on the day, and the event includes hot food, a jumble medal and a drink for runners.

A 7 miles fell run on Ilkley Moor with about 1100 ft of ascent, starting at the Barrier car park. Runners must touch the gate by Dick Hudsons Pub and return; route choice is open and a suggested map is provided.

Pinhaw is an 8 km fell race on 8 May 2026 near Earby in the South/West Pennines, climbing about 213 m. Entry is available both in advance and on the day with modest fees.
