The Wayland / HFC Striders Cross Country Festival is scheduled for October 11, 2026. The 2026 edition will be the 20th running of the festival. The event benefits the Wayland High School cross-country and track programs; over the years sponsors and participants have contributed more than $40,000 to those programs. The festival was selected as part of the USATF-New England Grand Prix in 2025.

Races, awards and sponsors

  • 3K - youth races for boys and girls in age groups 10 and under, 11-14
  • 5K - two open races, one for women and one for men

The event offers trophies and medals for youth competitors and a number of awards and gift certificates for adults from multiple sponsors. The presenting sponsor is Middlesex Savings Bank. Award sponsors named include Marathon Sports, Jack's Abby, Wegmans, Lewis' Bar and Grill, bTone FITNESS - Wayland, Saucony, SharkNinja, The Run House, Chick-fil-A Framingham, and others. Tackle the TARCtic Frozen Yeti at Hale Education in Westwood MA on Feb 7 and 8 2026 with a 30 hour challenge or a 15 mile looped race. Expect well marked winter trails, regular aid and proceeds supporting land conservation.

Run the scenic single track loop at Hale Reservation in Westwood, MA with 3.5 mile or 6 hour options. Trails, pond views and wood bridges await while proceeds support land conservation.
