Wausaultra Single, Double, Limitless

WausaUltra Solo, Double, Limitless - Wausau, WI

WausaUltra takes place May 7 to 9, 2027 at Sylvan Park in Wausau, Wisconsin. The event uses a single 4.167 mile mostly-trail loop that runs through wooded sections, single-track, school property edges, creek crossings, bridges, and several climbs. A small field near the course serves as the home base with space for participant tents, aid, bathrooms, and parking.

There are three main options for participants. The Limitless option uses the same loop repeated; each loop begins at regular hourly intervals and runners continue until they stop or until only one runner remains. The Solo and Double options let participants complete one loop or two loops respectively, with a three hour window to finish their chosen distance. Entry fees vary by option and are listed for each distance.

Registration opens in January 2027 and closes May 5, 2027; there are no race day signups. Transfers of registration to another individual are permitted but entries are otherwise final and nonrefundable. Participants for Solo, Double, and Limitless must be 18 years or older on race day, or younger with a parent or guardian present.

A kids race for children 12 and under is scheduled on the Saturday of event weekend. The kids distance is expected to be slightly less than a half mile and entry for children is free. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
