Wausau, United States • 1-3 May 2026
Event overview
WausaUltra is a running event held May 1-3, 2026 at Sylvan Park in Wausau, WI. The event offers three main options: Limitless, Double, and Solo. The Limitless option uses a backyard / last-runner-standing format in which participants repeat a set loop until only one runner remains or until the event ends on Sunday. A kids' race for children 12 and under is scheduled during the event day for Solo and Double races.
Course and race formats
The loop course is 4.167 miles, mostly on trail with notable ups and downs. The start and finish area is in a small field with space for participant tents, aid, bathroom facilities, and parking. Course features described include gravel approaches, single-track sections, hill climbs, a creek and small bridges.
Distances:
- Loop length: 4.167 miles
- Double total: 8.334 miles
- Kids' race: less than 0.5 mile
Solo and Double entrants must be 18 years old or older on race day; 18-year-olds may participate with a parent or guardian present.
Registration and policies
Limitless entry fee is listed as $200. Solo and Double prices vary by registration date: one-loop and two-loop fees increase after December 31, 2025. The kids' race is free. Registration closes April 29, 2026 at 5:00 PM CT; there are no race-day sign-ups.
