WausaUltra is a multi-day trail event held in Sylvan Park, Wausau, WI from May 7 to May 9, 2027. The event uses a single 4.167 mile loop through mostly trail terrain as the basis for all race options and a central home base with space for participant tents, aid, restroom facilities, and parking.

The Limitless event follows a backyard last runner standing format. Participants run the 4.167 mile loop repeatedly, leaving on the hour each loop, and continue until only one person remains or until the event concludes on the final day. Limitless entry fee is $200. Solo and Double options let participants complete either one loop or two loops on the same course, with a three hour window to complete the chosen distance. Entry fees are $55 for one loop and $65 for two loops. Registration opens January 2, 2027 and registration cutoff is May 5, 2027, with no race day sign ups.

Course highlights include a gravel start path, wooded single track, several climbs including a tubing hill, a stretch along school property, roller coaster style descents, and creek crossings with small bridges. The course is subject to change but will remain 4.167 miles with varied elevation and trail surfaces.

A free kids race for children 12 and under is planned on the Saturday of the event and is expected to be under half a mile. Once registered, entries are final with no deferral or refund option; transfers between individuals are possible and organizers can accommodate switching from Limitless to Solo or Double without refund for the difference in fee.
