Waugoshance Trail Run

Waugoshance Trail Run is a trail running event in the Mackinaw City area of Michigan’s Lower Peninsula. The course follows a notable section of the North Country Trail that runs from Cross Village to Mackinaw City and passes near Wycamp Lake.

The route is composed of over 90% single track and passes rolling bluffs with views toward Lake Michigan, coastal forest, and inland wilderness lakes. The 50K route also uses a five mile section of the Sturgeon Bay Trail. The half marathon begins near Goose Pond in Wilderness State Park.

The event is organized by Great Lakes Endurance and, as of the 2026 season, is operated by Aravaipa Running. Registration for the event closes on Mon, Jul 6 at 11:59 PM ET.
