Watkins Mill Get Outdoors 6.6K
The event is the 13th Annual Get Outdoors 6.6K at Watkins Mill State Park in Lawson, Missouri. The certified trail loops around the 100-acre Williams Creek Lake and runs through forested paths noted for fall colors. The course is 6.6 kilometers this year due to a bridge closure.
There are in-person and virtual 6.6K options. Race packages include a 6.6K event T-shirt, race bib, finisher’s medal, and two guided tour passes to the Watkins Woolen Mill & Home. Packet pick-up is offered the day before at Woodneath Library Center and on race day at Watkins Mill State Park.
Registration opens May 31, 2026 and closes September 16, 2026. Fees vary by registration date and participant age: early registration includes a shirt for some categories, later registration and race day entries may not include a shirt, and children under five are listed as free with no package.
Proceeds support Watkins Woolen Mill State Park and Historic Site. The Watkins Mill Association describes this support as directed toward preservation, education, and the site’s historic interpretation.
The event schedule includes music, food trucks, family activities, and prize awards after the finish. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
