Course and logistics

The course follows hiking trails and includes a large boulder field, dense forest, single-track switchbacks, stream crossings, bridges, and a steep rocky slope called the Devil's Staircase. There are three aid stations on the course supplying water and other supplies. The route has sections that must be negotiated carefully.

There is no early bib pick up and no day-of registration. Bib pick up on race day is from 7:30 to 8:30 AM. Cutoffs: runners must reach aid station 2 at mile 7.7 within 2.5 hours and aid station 3 at mile 10 within 3.5 hours; participants who do not meet these cutoffs will be given a ride back to the start/finish area.
