VHTRC Turkey Chase

The VHTRC Turkey Chase is scheduled for Thursday, November 26, 2026, starting at Old Anglers Inn parking off MacArthur Boulevard near Great Falls on the Maryland side of the Potomac River. The route uses trails and the C&O Canal and is roughly 10ish mile in length. There are multiple options along the route to cut the course short. Course details and instructions will be sent to all entrants on the Tuesday evening before the run.

Entry opens on Thursday, November 12, 2026, and entry will be limited to 29 runners.

This is a club event with no medical personnel or medical supplies provided by the organizer. Runners are responsible for their own health, safety, and emergency care. In case of an emergency, local emergency personnel will be contacted, but medical care may be distant or delayed. Past incidents at similar events have included scrapes, deep cuts, hematomas, dislocations, sprains, bee stings, and asthma attacks. No doctors, nurses, emergency medical technicians, or other trained medical staff are available along the course, at any aid station, or at the finish.
