VHTRC Turkey Chase
The event is scheduled for Thursday, November 26, 2026, with a start location at the Old Anglers Inn parking off MacArthur Boulevard near Great Falls on the Maryland side of the Potomac River.
The course is approximately 10 miles on trails and along the C&O Canal. There are multiple options to shorten the route. Course details and instructions will be sent to all entrants on the Tuesday evening before the run.
Entry opens on Thursday, November 12, 2026 at 9:00 am and is limited to 29 runners. Registration is managed by the organizing club.
This is a club event with limited on site support. The club does not provide medical care or medical supplies during the event and no medical personnel are available along the course, at any aid station, or at the finish. Runners are responsible for their own health, safety, and well being. Because many events occur in remote areas, emergency medical care may be distant in time or location. Past incidents at similar events have included scrapes, cuts, bruises, hematomas, dislocations, sprains, bee stings, and asthma attacks.
