Valley View Mike Donahue Memorial 5 Miler
The Valley View Mike Donahue Memorial 5 Miler is a five mile trail race hosted by Campus Recreation at Hydaway Outdoor Center in Lynchburg, Virginia. It serves as the second race in the Fall Liberty Mountain Trail Series and is run on single track trails and mountain roads within the Liberty Mountain Trail System. The event is presented in partnership with the Liberty University Military Affairs department and commemorates Mike Donahue.
Registration opens July 20, 2026 and closes November 6, 2026. The registration fee is $35. A featured giveaway t shirt is guaranteed for registrations completed before October 29; a limited number of extra shirts will be available at packet pickup. Packet pickup is scheduled for November 6 at LaHaye Rotunda and November 7 at Hydaway.
Awards are planned for the top three male and female overall finishers, the top three male and female in each age group, and the top male and female masters overall for ages over 40. Overall awards will be ranked by gun time and age group awards by chip time. Door prizes will be distributed during the event. A referral discount offers a $20 refund after three referred registrations. LMTS finisher awards will be given to those who complete the Liberty Mountain Trail Series.
