Deep Hollow Half Marathon & 5K Trail Race
The Deep Hollow event takes place on Saturday, October 10, 2026, at the Hydaway Outdoor Center in Lynchburg, Virginia. The event marks its 20th anniversary and is part of the Liberty Mountain Trail Series.
Distances:
- Half Marathon - 13.1 miles
- 5K - 3.1 miles
The half marathon course is made up primarily of single track trail with sections of forest road. The 5K is an out-and-back route held on a forest road.
Packet pickup provides an information packet that includes a race shirt and bib. Pickup is offered on the day before the race at LaHaye Rotunda and at the Hydaway Outdoor Center on race day. The featured giveaway t-shirt is guaranteed for registrations completed before October 1; a limited number of extra shirts are available at packet pickup on a first-come basis.
Awards are given to the top three male and female overall finishers, the top three male and female finishers in each age group, and the top male and female masters overall (over 40 years). All half marathon finishers receive a finisher award. Overall awards are ranked by gun time, while age group awards are ranked by chip time. Door prizes will be distributed during the event. Additional LMTS incentives include finisher awards for completing all five Liberty Mountain Trail Series races, a bundle discount for registering multiple LMTS races, a student discount at checkout, and a referral refund program.
