Deep Hollow Half Marathon & 5K Trail Race
The Deep Hollow event is scheduled for Saturday, October 10, 2026, at Hydaway Outdoor Center in Lynchburg, Virginia. The event comprises two trail races held at the facility and uses single track trails and forest roads for course routing.
Distances:
- Half Marathon: 13.1 miles, primarily single track trail with some forest roads.
- 5K: 3.1 miles, out and back on a forest road.
Packet pickup is held the day before the race at LaHaye Rotunda, with an information packet that includes a race shirt and bib. The featured giveaway t shirt is guaranteed for registrations completed before October 1; a limited number of extra shirts will be available at packet pickup on a first come basis.
Awards are provided for the top three male and female overall finishers, top three male and female in each age group, and top male and female masters over 40 years of age. All half marathon finishers receive a finisher award. Overall awards are ranked by gun time and age group awards are ranked by chip time. Door prizes will be distributed throughout the event.
Additional event options and incentives include an LMTS finisher award for participation in all five Liberty Mountain Trail Series races in April 2027, a bundle option that applies a 15 percent discount when registering for all five LMTS races, a referral refund of twenty dollars after three referred registrations, and a Liberty University discount applied at checkout.
