Valley Crest Trails - July 12, 2026

Valley Crest Trails takes place in Tarzana, Los Angeles at 3600 Reseda Blvd. Hosted by Anytime Runners, LLC, the event returns in 2026 after a year away due to Los Angeles wildfires. The race was established in 2002 and has been part of the local running scene for over twenty years.

Distances offered:

  • Half Marathon
  • 10K
  • 5K

The course follows the historic Dirt Mulholland fire road along Mulholland's ridgeline. Runners will encounter rolling terrain, steady climbs, and a fast but demanding downhill finish. The route is fully exposed from start to finish with little to no shade and offers wide open views, including the Nike Missile Site overlook, the San Fernando Valley, surrounding canyons, and toward the Pacific Ocean.

The mid July date brings hot, dry conditions. Temperatures are expected to rise through the morning and the exposed fire road can make conditions feel hotter than the ambient temperature. Participants should plan hydration and pacing accordingly.

Every participant receives an official race shirt and a finisher medal. Registration closes Fri, Jul 10 @ 11:59PM PT.

The organizer notes that the event may be modified, postponed, or canceled for reasons such as extreme weather, wildfire risk, hazardous air quality, or permit restrictions. All registrations are final with a no refund, no bib transfer, and no deferral policy. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
