UNAA Ultimate OCR 3K Championship : event overview
The Ultimate OCR 3K is an obstacle race conducted as a 3 kilometer course laid out in 300 m increments with more than 25 obstacles. The championship edition on July 13, 2026 is scheduled at New Holland Arena, presented with facilities for spectator viewing.
Competition classes are offered for male and female athletes in these categories: Elite, 13-15, 16-29, 30-49, 50+, 7-9 and 10-12, plus an Open class. Age groups are determined by age as of January 1, 2025. Elite and age-group classes are timed; the Open class is untimed. The top three finishers in each age category and the Elite class receive a large 5" medal; all finishers receive a medal and a shirt.
The event uses a three-band system. Athletes wear three wrist bands; obstacles are designated either mandatory completion or single-attempt/technical. Officials are stationed at obstacles and a chip timing system is used. Failure on obstacles results in band loss and leads to penalty loops placed after the final obstacle and before the finish line; athletes who lose all bands are ineligible for awards. Officials may cut bands to record failures.
Prize payouts for Elite placings are listed as 1st $1,100, 2nd $600 and 3rd $300. The event also serves as a USA OCR Team qualifier for the 3k national team selection. A course walkthrough video and live results are provided by the organizer. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
