Event Details
La Nuit is a night trail run held at Cedar Ridge Preserve in Dallas, Texas. The event takes place over a Friday evening into Saturday morning.
Distances
The event features several timed and fixed-distance races:
- 9hrs (9 Hour)
- 9 Hour Relay (for teams of three)
- 6hrs (6 Hour)
- 3hrs (3 Hour)
- 10K
- 5K
- 1 Miler
Course Information
All races use the same 3.2-mile loop course. For the 3, 6, and 9-hour events, participants run as many loops as possible within their time limit. Winners are determined by the number of loops completed in the shortest time. Runners must start their final loop at least 20 minutes before the cutoff time and must complete it.
The trail is described as moderate to difficult, featuring varied terrain with forested areas, a pond, and grassland. The route includes steps, climbs, descents, and flat sections, composed of rock, mulch, dirt, and gravel. The trails will be marked with reflective signs and ropes for the night run.
The 1 Miler follows a separate, shorter loop of approximately 0.9 miles.
Amenities & Logistics
A main aid station at the start/finish line will provide water, Gatorade, pickle juice, pickles, chips, peanut butter & jelly sandwiches, fruit, chocolates, and other snacks. Hot food like ramen, hot dogs, quesadillas, and egg tacos will be available overnight. A small additional water station is located at the halfway point of the loop. Restrooms are located at the start/finish line.
Packet pickup is available on the two days before the event at a specified location in Arlington, as well as on-site on the evening of the race starting at 6:00 PM.
Additional Notes
This is a cupless event; participants must bring their own bottle or cup. The event benefits Equip Disciples, a non-profit organization, and Cedar Ridge Preserve. All finishers in every race receive a medal. Age group and category awards are given for the 5K, 10K, and timed events. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
