The event is the 3rd annual Back to the 80s Run/Walk held at Campion Trail, 5950 Riverside Dr, Irving, TX on September 12, 2026. The program includes music and a post race party with a live DJ playing 1980s hits.

Registration opens October 11, 2025 and closes June 8, 2026. Entry fees listed in the event materials are $32.00 for the 5K and $37.00 for the 10K. Pre packet pickup details are to be determined. Participants may pick up up to five packets for friends or family. The t shirt cutoff date is August 29, 2026; participants who miss this cutoff will not receive a shirt during race day packet pickup but may check for leftover shirts after the event.

The course is an out and back. The event is chip timed and official times begin when a runner crosses the starting mat. Facilities include a portal pot at the start and finish and additional restrooms on course. Parking is free.

Awards include overall male and female and age division awards from 10-19 through 70-79. Volunteer roles include aid station and course monitor tasks such as providing water, picking up trash, and guiding participants.

The event operates rain or shine with a no refund policy. In extreme or unsafe weather the course or schedule may be altered or the event cancelled at the race director's discretion.
