True Grit Melbourne

True Grit comes to Victoria for the first time at Wildwood Rock Enduro. This military-inspired obstacle course takes place within a rugged landscape featuring mud and varied terrain. The event is designed to test physical and mental grit through a combination of running, crawling, and climbing over obstacles specifically designed for this location.

Participants can choose from several course options:

  • 10 km Elite: A timed, competitive wave for participants aged 16 and over, with prizes awarded to the top three male and female finishers.
  • 10 km: The standard distance for participants aged 16 and over, featuring more than 30 obstacles.
  • 5 km: A shorter course for participants aged 12 and over, containing 15 or more obstacles.

Specific obstacle highlights include a tyre wall, cargo net climbs, pontoon bridges, monkey bars, sandbag carries, and traverse ropes. Participants may enter as individuals or as part of a team. For solo runners desiring a social experience, the Black Dog Wave allows individuals to tackle the course together. Elite participants must complete the harder versions of obstacles and are subject to a 20-burpee penalty for any failed attempts.

The event site at Wildwood Rock Enduro provides on-site parking for a fee. Participants receive a finisher t-shirt and electrolyte drink upon completion. Amenities such as medical treatment, water stations on the course, and a bag drop service for a gold coin donation are available. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
