True Grit Melbourne - Wildwood Rock Enduro

True Grit Melbourne takes place at Wildwood Rock Enduro on 28 November 2026. The event is a military inspired obstacle course set on natural terrain at Feehans Rd, Wildwood VIC 3429. Spectator entry is free and on site parking is available for a fee per vehicle.

Distances offered include:

  • 10km Elite Timed competition; prizes for top three male and female; 16+ years
  • 10km The classic True Grit course; 16+ years
  • 5km Shorter course with 15+ obstacles; 12+ years

Obstacles are built for the location and use the landscape. Examples include A Frame, Traverse Ropes, Monkey Bars, The Wall, Rope Up, Pontoon Bridges, Sandbag Carry, Tyre Wall, Cargo and The Big Climb. The 10 km course typically includes 30 or more obstacles while the 5 km course includes 15 or more.

Elite entrants are required to attempt every obstacle and face a penalty of 20 burpees for each failed obstacle. Elite finishers are timed and top finishers are placed on a podium. The event usually provides at least one water station on course, finisher t-shirts, electrolytes and optional finisher beer on completion. An ultrarun at Studley Park on 2 May 26 where runners repeat a 6.71 km loop each hour and continue for as many laps as they manage. AUTRA members receive a 10% discount.

Trail races at Woodlands Historic Park in Greenvale on 24 May 2026, with distances from 2 km up to 50 km and a 10 km canicross option; maps and GPS files are provided and registration is via Humanitix.
