The Pub to Pub
The Pub to Pub is a community fun run in the Macedon Ranges between Romsey and Lancefield. The courses use the Federation Trail, a car-free rail-trail-style track that runs adjacent to the main road and is mostly hard-packed pea gravel.
Participants can choose from three distances:
- 1.5 km Junior Bolt for young children
- 7.5 km Pub to Pub between Romsey and Lancefield
- 15 km Pub to Pub to Pub out-and-back via Romsey
The 15 km course includes a loop around Romsey Lions Park and returns along the same trail. The shorter courses feature gentle rolling hills and gradual descents on sections of the trail. The Junior Bolt follows a sealed section of trail and is intended for young children; organisers set specific age rules for this event. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult in the 7.5 km and 15 km events. Parents or guardians may run with their children free of charge.
The event is fully timed using bibs fitted with timing chips; participants must wear their bib on the front. Two drink and aid stations are provided on course, including one on Boundary Road, offering water, hydration mix, snacks, fruit, and minor first aid. A free shuttle operates between Lancefield Hotel and Romsey for Pub to Pub participants. Facilities include public toilets in both towns, a coffee truck, and a post-run BBQ and drinks area at the Lancefield Hotel.
Team entries are available with a minimum team size of five. Team awards include fastest team by combined placings, largest team, and best-dressed team. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
