Trotternish Ridge Race

The Trotternish Ridge Race is set to take place on Saturday, 1st June 2024. The race covers a distance of around 27km with approximately 2000m of ascent and descent, starting at Flodigary and finishing at Storr Lochs. The course is unmarked, requiring competitors to navigate between unmanned checkpoints using map and compass skills. With an entry limit of 75 participants due to Nature Scot restrictions, the event is already full, and new entries are being placed on a waiting list. The race will be run under Scottish Hill Runners kit requirements, with kit checks before the start, and runners may be required to carry a survival bag depending on weather conditions.
