June 2026

A 27 km ridge race on 6 June 2026 from Flodigary to Storr Lochs with about 2000 m of climb and descent. The unmarked route requires navigation and Category A experience, with kit checks and limited places with a waiting list.

Test your endurance at Inverlael Forest with a five hour lap challenge overlooking Loch Broom. Complete as many 3.6 km loops as possible as an individual or in a team to support the Highland Hospice.

A 20 km AL category hill race around the Slioch Horseshoe near Kinlochewe with about 1000 m ascent. Entry uses a pre selection system and requires prior hill race experience; unmarked route and mandatory navigation kit are enforced.

July 2026

Take on the Great Glen Ultra from Corpach to Inverness, a scenic but tough 72 mile solo race with roughly 8,500 ft of climbing and a limited field of 150. UTMB points available for experienced endurance runners.

Tackle a rugged 42 mile Great Glen Ultra short course from Fort Augustus to Inverness with about 6,000 ft of climbing. Cross the line with a lap of the Inverness Sports Centre track for a memorable finish.

A memorial hill race on Skye from the Sligachan Hotel covering 4.5 miles with 2500 feet of ascent. The short Category A event has a £5 entry fee, an 18 year minimum age and supports Skye Mountain Rescue Team.

August 2026

A short hill race run as part of the Glenurquhart Highland Games in Drumnadrochit on 22 August 2026, about 3.5 miles with 700 feet of ascent. Entries are via SiEntries, minimum age 17, entry fee £10.

A scenic half marathon across Berneray and North Uist on rural surfaced roads, with sea views for virtually the whole way. The course is officially measured and finishes in Lochmaddy where the hotel sponsor provides lunch.

September 2026

A classic mountain running event from New Town Park in Fort William to the summit of Ben Nevis and back. Entry is by pre-selection with a 600-competitor limit and specific club and hill-race experience requirements.
