Trick or Trail Night Run

Trick or Trail Night Run is a new trail running event in 2026 on the Kenna Cartwright trails in Kamloops, BC. The event grew from a 2025 group run and features a night time, themed experience that includes jump scares, ghouls, tricks and treats along marked trails. The course is run after dusk and uses trail markings.

The distances offered are:

  • 15 km trail
  • 5 km trail

Registration opens on May 25, 2026 at 12:00 AM PT. Updated course maps and course information are available on the Sole Pursuit Running website.

The event cancellation and registration policy contains several points. No refunds are provided after registration. Deferrals may be considered under special circumstances at the Race Director's discretion, up to two months before race day. Bibs are non-transferable. Once a distance is full, no additional spots will be added. Runners may drop down in distance at no cost until registration closes. If the event is cancelled for weather, fires or other unforeseen circumstances, participants may choose either a deferment to the following year's event valid for one year or a 50% refund of the registration cost.

Organizers are seeking 12-15 volunteers to serve as course marshals, candy station helpers, sweeps and for other duties. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
