Trick or Trail Night Run

Trick or Trail Night Run is a new night trail event in Kamloops, BC, held on the Kenna Cartwright trails. The event grew out of a 2025 group run that focused on candy and a few jump scares.

The course includes themed night elements such as jump scares, costumed characters and candy stations along the way. Runners navigate marked trails using personal lighting as dusk and mist add to the atmosphere.

Distances offered:

  • 15k
  • 5k

Registration opens Monday, May 25, 2026 at 12:00 AM PT. Course maps and updated route information are available on the Sole Pursuit Running website.

Cancellation policy highlights: no refunds after registration; deferrals considered under special circumstances at the Race Director's discretion up to two months before race day; sold-out distances will not receive additional spots; bibs are non-transferable. Runners may drop down in distance at no cost until registration closes. If the event is cancelled for weather, fires or other unforeseen circumstances, participants may choose a deferral to the following year (valid for one year) or a 50% refund.

Organizers are seeking 12 to 15 volunteers to serve as course marshals, candy station helpers, sweeps and for other event duties. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
