Traprock 50
Traprock 50 is a trail running event in Bloomfield, CT, organized by the CT Trailmixers. The event offers two distances and uses a loop course that is approximately 10.5 to 11 miles per loop. The 17K uses one loop and the 50K uses three loops.

The course runs largely on the Metacomet Trail and is roughly 50% technical single track, with the remainder on double-track. The route consists entirely of rolling forest roads or single track that can be extremely rocky. The course route will not change and includes a notable power line hill.
The event recommends that entrants have recent marathon or equivalent trail experience. The 50K has a nine hour cutoff. The race is cupless; participants should plan to use their own cup or handheld bottle. Chip timing will be in use.
Administrative details: registration opens on November 26, 2026; race proceeds support local organizations including the Simsbury Land Trust and the Connecticut Forest and Parks Association. The CT Trailmixers run the event as a volunteer non profit club. Shirts are available for separate purchase. If the event reaches capacity, a waitlist will open and selections are made in registration order; selected runners have two days to accept. Refund policy: cancellations before March 1 receive a 50 percent refund; no refunds, bib transfers, or deferrals after that date. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
