TrailFest is a day of trail running on the private Holdenby estate in Northamptonshire. The event offers four distances that share the same traffic free course within the estate grounds.

Holdenby House is a private estate four miles north west of Northampton. The site includes a historic house, gardens and working farmland; only one wing of the original Elizabethan house remains. Parking is free on grass and the estate is accessed from local roads using postcode NN6 8DJ. The venue is about 15 minutes from Junction 18 of the M1, seven miles from Northampton train station and five miles from Long Buckby train station. No buses serve the area.
The route starts and finishes between the Basecourt Arches and follows farm track, field edges and a small, rarely trodden wood with branches and logs on the line of the trail. The course is traffic free and offers views over rolling Northamptonshire. Road shoes are suitable when the ground is dry; trail shoes are advised if there has been heavy rain within 24 hours. There is one noticeable hill and otherwise rolling terrain. Distances may vary slightly due to the trail nature of the course. Dogs are not permitted. Pacers are not allowed except in the final 100 metres; crew and spectators are permitted but must not move along the trail. A video of the course is planned.
