Event Details
The Trail To Recovery 5K & 1 Mile Run/Walk is the fourth annual event. It is organized by Trail to Recovery, Inc., a non-profit that supports the recovery community in Cleveland County. Proceeds benefit Cleveland County recovery court programs and other local organizations providing substance abuse and mental health services.
The event offers two distances:
- 5K Run
- 1 Mile Run/Walk
Registration Information
For the 5K Run, registration includes a custom t-shirt (guaranteed for registrations prior to April 15, 2026), a custom finisher medal, a bib, and a timing chip.
For the 1 Mile Run/Walk, registration includes a custom finisher medal, a bib, and a timing chip. T-shirts are available for purchase separately.
Awards
Awards are given to the overall top male and female finishers. The top three finishers in each age division also receive awards, but this applies to the 5K event only.
Course & Venue
The event takes place at Ruby Grant Park in Norman, Oklahoma. The course is a trail run through the park. It is mostly flat with a few slight hills, consisting of grass, sidewalk, and some gravel surfaces. The course is also used for local high school cross country races.
Parking & Facilities
Parking is available on the west side of the park off of 36th Ave near Franklin Road. Overflow parking is at All Saints Catholic School south of the park and at Christ Church north of the park. Restrooms are located in the main parking lot. Volunteers will be present to assist with parking and crossing 36th Street. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
