Trail To Recovery 5K & 1 Mile Run/Walk
Trail To Recovery 5K & 1 Mile Run/Walk is scheduled for May 9, 2026 at Ruby Grant Park in Norman, Oklahoma. The event is organized by Trail to Recovery, Inc., a non-profit created to support the recovery community in Cleveland County. Proceeds will benefit Cleveland County recovery court programs and other local organizations that provide substance abuse and mental health services.
Registration opens January 14, 2026 and closes February 28, 2026. Fees listed by the organizer are $30.00 for the 5K and $15.00 for the 1 mile run/walk. 5K registrations include a custom t-shirt (guaranteed for registrations before April 15, 2026), a custom finisher medal, bib and timing chip. The 1 mile run/walk registration includes a custom finisher medal, bib and timing chip; t-shirts are available for purchase.
Awards will be given to the overall top male and female finishers and to the top three finishers in each age division for the 5K.
The course is a trail through a well maintained community park. It is mostly flat with a few slight hills and runs on grass, sidewalk and some gravel surfaces. The organizer notes the course is smooth and safe and is often used for local high school cross country races.
Parking is available on the west side of the park off 36th Ave near Franklin Road. Overflow parking is at All Saints Catholic School to the south and Christ Church to the north across the street. Restrooms are in the main parking lot and volunteers will assist with parking and street crossings.
Packet pickup is available Friday, May 8 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at OK Runner, 3408 36th Ave NW, Suite 100, Norman, OK 73072. Packets may also be picked up on race day from 7:00 to 8:15 am. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
