The Trail To Recovery 5K & 1 Mile Run/Walk is scheduled for May 9, 2026 in Norman, OK at Ruby Grant Park (4343 36th Ave NW). The event is organized by Trail to Recovery, Inc., a non-profit supporting the recovery community in Cleveland County. Proceeds will benefit Cleveland County recovery court programs and other local organizations that provide substance abuse and mental health services. This is the fourth annual edition. Registration opens January 14, 2026. Entry prices listed are $30 for the 5K and $15 for the 1 mile.

Race details and logistics

The 5K registration includes a custom t-shirt (guaranteed for registrations before April 15, 2026), a custom finisher medal, bib, and timing chip. The 1 mile registration includes a custom finisher medal, bib, and timing chip; t-shirts for the 1 mile are available for purchase. Awards will be given to the overall top male and female and to the top three finishers in each age division for the 5K only.

The course is a trail run through a well maintained community park. It is mostly flat with a few slight hills and uses grass, sidewalk, and some gravel surfaces; it is often used for local high school cross country races. Parking is available on the west side of the park off 36th Ave near Franklin Road, with overflow at All Saints Catholic School (south) and Christ Church (north).
